About Image prompts

Image prompts are text descriptions that tell an AI image generator what to create: the subject, setting, composition, lighting, style and format. This category collects community-shared image prompts for tools such as Midjourney, Flux, Stable Diffusion, DALL·E, ChatGPT and Gemini, shown with example results.

To use one, open the prompt, fill in the {{variables}} (for example the subject or colour palette), copy it and paste it into your image tool. Check the platform label first, since some prompts use syntax only one tool understands, such as Midjourney parameters or Stable Diffusion negative prompts.

Specific details beat long lists of quality keywords. Change one element at a time, such as lighting or lens, so you can see what made the difference.

Image prompts: FAQ

What makes a good AI image prompt?

A clear subject, a setting and concrete details about composition, lighting and style. Specific phrases like "overhead shot, soft window light" guide the model better than generic words like "beautiful".

Can I use the same image prompt in different tools?

The description usually transfers, but tool-specific syntax does not. Remove things like Midjourney's --ar or Stable Diffusion weighting when moving a prompt to another generator.

Why doesn't my image match the example?

Image generators are not deterministic, and results depend on the model version and settings. Generate a few variations and refine the prompt from the closest one.
